No Quarter Subscriptions

Looks like PP are offering NQ subscriptions to US and Canadian players.

NQ is $6 an issue; US subs are $55 for six issues. One will be paying a bit of a premium for postage. This, however, is good. Why? Because it means a FLGS can stock NQ without fear of being undermined by PP and cheaper subs.

Sat 30 Jan 2010 at The Leisure Centre, Penarth. Hopefully the WM/H UK Champion will be running demo games during the day – anyone up to the challenge to try and beat him?

WMMS
Sun 21 Mar 2010 at Alderley Leisure Village, Wolverhampton. Doc will hopefully be running demo games of WM/H during the day.

WARMACHINE & HORDES Carry Cases

Battle Foam have been licensed to produce ‘official’ PP miniature carry cases:

Privateer Press is pleased to announce it has licensed the rights to create official miniatures carrying cases for its award winning WARMACHINE and HORDES miniatures games to Battle Foam.

The Battle Foam WARMACHINE and HORDES miniature carrying cases are scheduled to release in January 2010 to coincide with the release of WARMACHINE Prime Mk II. Each case holds 161models and is reinforced with hard plastic to form a protective shell around the figures. In addition are several pockets to hold gaming accessories as well as an interior binder clip to hold card sheets.

Battle Foam also plans to release special faction-specific foam tray sets that will include custom-cut trays to carry the more irregular models. These sets will be available in the months following the main product’s release.

Pre-orders will start in Dec 09 with delivery expected Jan 10 to coincide with the release of WM MKII.

At present I have no details of UK availability.

Forge Games to Sponsor WARMACHINE Tournament at Vapnartak 2010

Forge Games will be sponsoring the WARMACHINE/HORDES tournament at Vapnartak 2010. This superb show is run by the York Wargames Society; Vapnartak is held on Sunday 7 February 2010: http://www.yorkwargames.org/Vapnartak.htm.

This one-day tournament will be for 35 point WM & H armies and held over 4 rounds. Possibly the first MK II tournament in the UK post-release, it will be a great day!
